Elastogran U.K. Limited develops, manufactures, markets and sells polyurethane systems. These systems are developed according to individual customer needs. The chemistry of the system is designed to produce a product which fully meets the customers' expectations, whilst taking into account technology changes and legislation affecting the use of these materials. Once in production the customer is able to call on our technical support as and when required to give assistance with material and process related matters.Since moving to the current site in 1980, we have pursued a programme of continual improvement in our manufacturing facilities. This investment has resulted in modern production facilities capable of producing a wide variety of polyurethane systems. By sourcing, wherever possible from BASF Polyurethanes we are able to guarantee supply of raw material which meet both our and our customers' exacting quality standards. The manufacturing and quality assurance processes are registered to ISO/TS 16949:2002 and ISO 9001:2000, ensuring that everything manufactured on the site meets the agreed specification. We are committed to the long-term supply of polyurethane raw materials and systems to our customers. As part of this commitment we actively participate in organisations representing the polyreuthanes industry, both in the UK and Europe. This participation enables us to keep our customers up to date with any proposed changes in legislation which would affect their business, and enables those customers to have a voice representing them when any changes are being considered. As a member of the Chemical Industries Association we actively support its 'Responsible Care' programme and are registered to RCMS:2003. This incorporates product stewardship, and the management of both health and safety and environmental matters, both within and outside the place of work. Our well proven products, acknowledged high level of customer support, and commitment to further development have enabled us to become firmly established in the market place. With our knowledge and experience we contribute to the success of our customers - success which can be achieved with the versatile material polyurethane, and our innovative solutions, tailored to meet their requirements. Manufacture Our production facilities consist of a polyol blending plant, isocyanate pre-polymerisation plant, and facilities for bulk storage of isocyanates, polyols and finished products. Each plant contains vessels of different capacities , allowing us to manufacture batches up to 20 tonnes in size. Continual investment in manufacturing operation enables us to develop our production capabilities, paying particular attention to process control, ergonomic operation, health and safety, and environmental protection. Having been registered to ISO standards since 1989, we continue to invest time, effort and resources into improving our quality assurance processes. We work in close cooperation with our customers to ensure that we achieve the quality standards required by the industries we serve. Technical Support Based in a purpose-built technical facility our technical advisers have considerable experience in both polyurethanes and the machinery used to process them. This in-house knowledge is supplemented by access to technology developed at sister companies throughout Europe, and the technical experitise of the BASF Polyurethanes group worldwide which help us to remain at the forefront of polyurethane technology. Using our technical expertise we are able to offer tailor-made solutions for a wide variety of polyurethane applications. Systems are developed to meet individual customer's needs. Technical support is provided at all stages, from initial trials in our laboratoes , to full scale production trials at the customer's premises. The technical support continues after production has commenced, with our technical advisers assisting the customer to optimise their production processes. |
